Abstract: | Empowerment, as a concept, has gained immense ground in recent years and we find many senior management teams grappling with the idea of creating an empowered organization. It is a mutually reinforcing process, where both the individual 's and organization's gains are manifold. The process stems from the idea that if employees are given some degree of ownership of decisions, they are likely to perform their jobs better, at times much beyond the organization's expectations. |
