| Abstract: | The definition of food security as defined by FAO comprises four key dimensions - availability, stability access and utilization. Studies indicate that the impact of climate change are significant with a projected figure of 100 million and above additional people at risk of hunger by 2050. In addition the crucial issues are resources and their distribution region wise under the impact ofextreme events such as drought and floods, intervention and interaction of disease in productivity and related income generation of dependents. |
