Abstract: The present study was undertaken to compare the self-esteem of orphan and non-orphan children and to study the effectiveness of behavior interve ntion in enhancing self-esteem. The study was conducted in two parts. In part 'A', self-esteem of orphan and non-orphan children was compared and in part 'B', the effectiveness of behavior inter vention in enhancing self-esteem of children was swdied. In part 'A', matched group design was used for the study.
