dc.description.abstract | Inside the headquarters of the Taiwan International Bank (TIB) for India, which was located in the vicinity of Flora Fountain, Ajitabh Bannerjee, the Manager of The British Bank of Taiwan (BBT), was waiting in the reception of the India area management office to see the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for India, David Selby. BBT was a fully owned subsidiary of TIB. BBT’s manager reported to the CEO for TIB-India who was responsible for the running of all TIB’s branches as well as the sole branch of the BBT. For the record, TIB at the time had branches in the four main cities in India. BBT was a single-branch operation based in Bombay. TIB was one of the biggest international banks in existence with a presence in over 70 countries. It had over 300,000 employees globally on its rolls. | en_US |
