Abstract: | Stress is the body's natural reaction to conditions that are seen as demanding or hazardous. Workplace stress can be brought on by a variety of circumstances, including high workloads, tight deadlines, a lack of control, job uncertainty, and interpersonal issues. Employees' physical and mental health might suffer when they are subjected to high amounts of stress over extended periods of time. The impact of stress on mental health is one of the most important consequences of stress on employee welfare. Anxiety, sadness, and other mental health conditions can be exacerbated by high amounts of stress. Employees who are stressed may have difficulties sleeping, weariness, impatience, and poor attention, all of which can have a negative influence on their general wellbeing and job performance. Employers may adopt strategies to foster a healthy work environment and assist their employees' mental and emotional well-being to reduce the detrimental impact of stress on employee wellbeing. Employee support programs, flexible work arrangements, encouraging frequent breaks, fostering work-life balance, and giving opportunity for skill development and training are some measures. |
