This paper looks at the function of supervisors and their influence on workers' performance and satisfaction in modern organizational situations which has drawn a lot of interest recently. Abusive supervision is a pernicious phenomenon that lurks in the shadows, leaving a long-lasting and negative impact on employees' lives, despite the fact that successful leadership may inspire, encourage, and foster progress. The term "abusive supervision" refers to a pattern of negative actions used by managers who damage, intimidate, or undermine their staff members and have a negative impact on both individuals and organizations. In order to shed light on the causes, effects, and potential mitigating variables of abusive supervision, this dissertation aims to explore its multifaceted natur Due to its pervasiveness and damaging impact on workers, abusive supervision has become a crucial subject of research within the field of organisational psychology. Researchers have observed that detrimental behaviours like verbal and nonverbal violence, unfair treatment, personal attacks, humiliation, and the abuse of authority all fall under the category of abusive supervision. Such actions can damage an employee's self-worth, confidence, job contentment, and general well being. Additionally, they may cause unfavourable feelings like fear, wrath, and anxiety, which may ultimately hinder both individual and organisational performance. This dissertation's main goal is to thoroughly examine abusive supervision and its effects from a variety of perspectives. In addition to examining the negative effects on workers' psychological and physical well-being, it aims to pinpoint the underlying causes of abusive behaviours in the workplace and consider viable solutions for preventing or lessening them.en_US
