Abstract: | The Indian banking sector has made a significant contribution to the country's monetary development. Through providing funding, the financial industry stimulates the growth of several sectors. However, despite the pandemic over the last year, the financial sector has also faced a few challenges in recent years, including declining resource quality, problems with corporate administration, and a financial bottleneck. These factors clearly have an impact on how the banks are presented. A concentrated effort has been made to focus on the banks' display according to many parameters, such as the CAMEL model's requirements for capital sufficiency, resource quality, CEO performance, compensation, and liquidity. Using the CAMEL model, a close examination of State Bank of India and HDFC Bank has been completed. The results highlight how State Bank of India has lagged behind HDFC Bank in terms of liquidity, while HDFC Bank has outplayed it in terms of capital adequacy, asset quality, and management. Structured questionnaires, which were given to respondents following pretesting, were used to collect data. The findings showed that the majority of HDFC's digital service users are salaried and self-employed clients, and that many clients are unaware of the bank's digital offerings. |
