dc.description.abstract | The pandemic has distorted the educational system of both schools and colleges not only in India but all over the world. Because of the pandemic, the education system has transformed from traditional education into virtual education with the help of some online tools. The plenty of materials that are readily available on different educational-oriented online platforms are the most noticeable change in education due to the pandemic. The pandemic also made it translucent that nobody can replace the classical educational system. Throughout the COVID-19 epidemic, learners lacked experience with persistent digital instruction and learning. It also revealed that the epidemic had a devastating impact on students' ability to study at tertiary institutions (HEIs). In the post-COVID-19 times, students are facing thoughtful difficulties such as abridged intellectual skills, over exposure, and addiction to the Internet and gadgets. This chapter investigates and evaluates the quality of education and cognitive behavior of students in an HEI in India, during and after COVID-19, using a survey conducted by the students in our institution to make descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. The result of this chapter exposed that there is a striking decline in students' cognitive performance after COVID-19. © 2024 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. | en_US |
