Abstract

Tourism sector has been growing all over the world at an increasing rate in the recent past. Same phenomenon could be observed in the Indian cont ext. With the development of better communication system, opening up of the economy for private investment and the increasing upper middle class population, tourism is gaining popularity in India, though the motivations for tourism may be different. The motivations may include social, religious and business interests.
