Abstract: In the current phase of unprecedentedly fast rate of globalization and integration of economies between countries, an unstated belief may prevail among business circles and even management cadres that this would mean cut-throat competition and only the most cunning and unscrupulous would survive and grow. This in turn may be taken to mean that moral or ethical issues and aspects can be thrown to the winds, and business approaches would rest only on narrow, short term selfish interests of business, and nothing else would be relevant.
