Rule-based business-process involves a set of rules that express semantics of activity flows and case data of the processes. Rule-based processes of a business involve procurement, payroll and invoice processing. These are tedious and repetitive tasks that require a lot of effort when doing manually. However, robotics and automatics automate these activities. This process involves utilisation of software bots and combination of computer vision and machine-learning for enabling automation of high-volume and repetitive tasks, which are trigger-driven and rule-based. Businesses nowadays are increasingly adopting robotics-process automation for reducing costs of rule-based processes while reducing the total effort required in these tasks. Present study is aimed at analysing the significance of utilising automatics and robotics in enhancing effectiveness of rule-based business processes. In the literature review section of this study, a proper framework for rule-based process has been presented that can support adoption of RPA. Further, this section has included the ways RPA can help in elimination of probable errors in rule-based decision-making. The methodology section has included the ways data has been collected in this study for generating proper research outcomes. In this context, secondary-research method has been utilised for collection of requisite data and thematic analysis has aided in analysing this information. The themes have been developed based upon research objectives in the findings section and these have been analysed in the discussion section. As per findings section, a positive relation exists between utilisation of automatics and robotics and improvement in rule-based business-processes. As per the concluding thoughts of this study, organisations can streamline their rule-based business processes through strategic utilisation of RPA by reducing potential issues associated with this system. © 2022 IEEE.en_US
