Abstract: Heterocyclic compounds derived from hydrazine (pyrazole, pyridazine, etc.) are vital in drug design and pharmaceutical research. Many structurally diverse heterocyclic derivatives (pyrazole, pyridazine, and other miscellaneous heterocyclic compounds containing N-N linkage) possess interesting therapeutical properties, including sedative, antidepressant, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, anticancer, uricosuric drugs, steroids, anorectic, alcohol dehydrogenase inhibitory, antipsychotic, antibiotic, anticoagulant, antibacterial, antifungal, antihistaminic, vasodilator, and many more to cite. More than 65 drugs consisting of heterocycles derived from hydrazine cater to the needs of many patients suffering from numerous diseases and disorders. In addition to the established convenient chemistry, medicinal chemists get enticed to claim these pharmaceutically attractive moieties in their potential bioactive compounds. This marching of drugs from this heterocyclic category containing N-N linkage towards the century mark would be achieved sooner as many newer bioactive molecules claim to have these moieties in their structure. This chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of drugs consisting of heterocyclic nucleuses consisting of N-N linkage. © 2023 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
