Abstract: It’s a two-way street while the transformation of public services is driven by digital technology, new demands are coming from citizens as a result. Digital public services are reshaped by emerging artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and the Internet of things (IoT). According to both natural increase and migration from rural areas and small towns, the demand for transport in most of the Indian cities has risen. Studies have found that rise in the availability of motorized transportation, an increase in household income, and an increase in commercial and industrial activities have made it even more abundant. Therefore, the travel demand has risen at a significant and rapid rate, and thus, public transport systems have been unable to keep pace. An extremely limited number of major cities are served by rail-based public transportation, whereas the best organized bus services are found in only a few major cities. On the quantitative scale, during peak hours, public transportation is severely overcrowded, as well as tedious to use. As a result, there is a massive movement toward personalized transport, such as cars and two-wheelers, and advancing economic growth and prosperity. © 2023 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
