Abstract: The purpose of this study is to measure the role of job stress among the academic staff of the private universities of Bangladesh. A survey was conducted among 150 academic staffs of the private universities across Dhaka and Chittagong city in Bangladesh, concerning the trends of job stress and satisfaction and the likely relationship between them. Primary data analysis revealed that the private universities showed different directions for varying forms of job stress.
