dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the c urrent levels of economic growth in the Brazilian economy, one of the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, and China), presenting a historic overview of the c ountry's economic growth in the past years, as well as the evolution of some macroec onomic indicators. Brazil's participation in international organization forums, such as the IMF and WTO, are inc luded in this paper. The c ountry's inflow and outflow Foreign Direct Investments (FD/) in recent years are also discussed and examples are given to illustrate the current trend of investments in different markets, with an emphasis on the USA and the State of Florida, in particular-
