Sustainable Rural Livelihoods Through Participatory Natural Resources Management: A Case Study

Abstract

The idea of sustainable livelihoods encompasses a gamut of concepts. It is generally analysed within the framework of natural, human, social and economic capital. The study essentially deals with the natural resource base, and how it sustains rural livelihoods and improves the economic and social condition of people. The paper studies how livelihoods have been improved in the specific area due to the impact of policy interventions through watershed development.
