dc.description.abstract | An efficient, one-pot synthesis of polybyoquinolines has been achieved via four-component reaction of aldehydes, dimedone, ethyl acetoacetate and ammonium acetate under solvent free conditions. The present protocol is catalyst-free and affords the desired polyhyoquinolines in excellent yield. Further advantages of the present study are short reaction time, simple workup procedures, and purification of products by simple recrystallization. | - |
