dc.description.abstractInformation Technology (IT) innovations in the last few years have changed the landscape of banks in India, IT seems to be the prime mover of all banking transactions. Electronic banking (e-delivery channels) as a tool of Information Technology is bringing a swift change in the way banks operate, especially by offering better delivery channels and customer friendly services. To compete in an economy which is opening up, it is imperative for the Indian Banks to observe the latest technology and modify it to suit their environment. So, This paper brings out the growth of e-delivery channels across commercial banks in India. The commercial banks are divided into four broad groups- Nationalized banks, SBI and its Associates, New Private banks and Old Private banks. For the purpose of this study growth of e-delivery channels have been taken for a fifteen year duration ranging from 1998-99 to 2012-13 .SPSS (version 20) is applied for statistical data analysis. The findings indicated that the growth of e- delivery found higher during post e-banking period in comparison to post e-banking period.-
