Abstract: | The rice culture KJT-2-2-44-10 is a midlate duration, dwarf stature, high yielding, medium slender grain rice culture. The variety exhibited 17. 90, 17. 16, and 18. 50 per cent higher yield over the checks in s tation, state and adaptive trials, respectively. It showed excellent milling (71. 69%), head rice recovery (63. 71 %), intermeruate Amylose content (23. 52) and ASV (4. 0) with translucent grains and excellent cooking qualities. It has been observed moderately resistant to neck blast, bacterial blight and resistant to leaf blast.
