dc.description.abstractA one pot, multicomponent condensation of an aldehyde, ethylacetoacetate, and urea/thiourea for the synthe i of 3,4-dihyopyrimidine-2-[l HJ-thione/one (DHPMs) under o lvent free conditions using CuSO4. 5HP in high yields is described. The present methodology offer several advantages uch a high yields, short reaction times, simple operation and ea y workup.-
